November Concert: “Dreams and Fate”

I) Paul Jensen, piano Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 5 in E Minor In November’s “Dreams and Fate” concert, Viva is joined by pianist Paul Jensen for the first movement of Manuel de Falla’s atmospheric “Nights in the Garden of Spain”, after which the orchestra will probe the depths of Tchaikovsky’s momentous Symphony No. 5. |
December Nutcracker

Sunday, February 9th, 4pm St. Luke's Episcopal Church Vivaldi: “Spring” from The Four Seasons Ryan Coppin, violin Vivaldi: Flute Concerto in G Minor, Op. 10, No. 2 Greg Obregon, flute Copland: Appalachian Spring (13 Instruments) Our February program features Copland's timeless Suite from Appalachian Spring (for 13 Instruments) from his Pulitzer Prize-winning ballet, along with a pairing of Vivaldi concertos (including his famous “Spring” violin concerto from his “Four Seasons”), performed by Symphony Viva concertmaster Ryan Coppin and principal flutist Gregory Obregon. |
