In partnership with school districts, Alamo City Arts brings high-quality, TEKS-aligned music and dance performances directly into Title I schools. These events often students’ first exposure to live performing arts, connect classroom learning to cultural experiences, deepen appreciation for the arts, and spark curiosity in young minds. By removing transportation barriers and tailoring performances to each campus, we make the arts accessible, impactful, and unforgettable. Designed to support diverse learning styles auditory, visual, and kinesthetic these performances help students engage with core concepts through music, movement, and storytelling. Arts Connect: Student Concert Series includes four unique offerings: · A Symphony Series, presented in collaboration with the San Antonio Symphony Society, featuring Scheherazade paired with a Paint to Music experience, blending symphonic storytelling with visual art. · A Mariachi & Ballet Folklorico Series, celebrating the vibrancy of regional culture through music and dance. · A Concert Band Series, including a “Disney Magic” themed performance full of familiar, family-friendly repertoire. · A Ballet with Live Symphony Series, presenting A Midsummer Night’s Dream, bringing classical music and movement together for a full theatrical experience. These performances not only enrich academic instruction but also inspire imagination and broaden students’ horizons through the power of the arts. YOU can help: Sponsor a school, volunteer during a performance, or donate to expand this program to more campuses and ensure every child has access to the magic of live performance.
