At ACPAA, we are committed to the creative health of all our collaborators. As part of this commitment, we want to help the collaborative artists of ACPAA express themselves through the best we know how; art making.
Through a dual production of the Alamo City Dance Company and Symphony Viva, we are inviting all artists (musician, dancer, visual artist, or other) to participate in a series of creative-engagement projects. These projects are meant to give an opportunity to find a new sense of community while we take the necessary precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19.
As unique experiments in movement-making and sound-building, these projects will range from outright bizarre to known work that might even be seen in the future - perhaps on the stage or in a screen-dance style film. We are excited to work with the artists and see what we can create together in this time of stillness. It is our hope, that through these engagements, we may be able to give life back to where we have been suddenly stifled by silence.
These creative projects will be facilitated by Michael Landez. Any and all suggestions, comments, questions, and ideas are welcome, and can be sent to [email protected].
