INTERNSHIP: Arts Organization Intern is a paid employee who work side by side with the staff of Alamo City Arts in the following areas: Development Events and Hospitality Graphics and Publicity Operations Patron and Donor Stewardship Stage and Theatre Management Student Services
With on the job training and hands-on experience, interns will gain practical experience and developmental skills to give them an understanding of how a multidisciplinary arts organization operates. Alamo City Arts consists of a dance company, dance studio, concert band, dance band, symphony, and a theatre. They will have the opportunity to work with all of our directors, giving them an understanding of the different aspects of each art discipline. The start date of the internship is on June 2nd and will run to August 8th 2025 this is a full-time, seasonal, nonexempt position. Applicants must be enrolled in an undergrad Bexar County college and agree to do two public presentations to promote the Bexar County Arts Intern Program.
Collaborating with our directors to gather content for social media campaigns and assisting them in creating blog posts to enhance SEO for our website.
Help set up and manage google ad campaigns with a budget of $10,000 per month.
Developing and scheduling engaging content for social media platforms, including posts, stories, and short-form videos, to promote events, programs, and performances.
Managing audience engagement by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms.
Researching social media trends and best practices to ensure our campaigns remain innovative and effective.
Creating and analyzing social media performance reports, using data to suggest improvements for future campaigns.
Attending rehearsals, classes, and performances to capture photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes content for social media and marketing purposes.
Conducting interviews with musicians, dancers, instructors, and directors to generate engaging content for various platforms.
Assisting with day-of-production activities, including event setup, ticket sales, patron and donor interactions, and post-event breakdown.
Designing social media graphics and promotional materials using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
Distributing post-event surveys to patrons, compiling results, and contributing to data analysis to support upcoming grant reporting.
Assisting in drafting press releases and promotional emails to complement social media efforts.

TAP INSTRUCTOR: Alamo City Arts Academy is looking for an experienced tap instructor for our intermediate, advanced and adult students for Tuesday nights from 7-9pm. Qualified candidates will have experience in teaching tap at these skill levels, strong customer service skills and be reliable. Certifications a plus. Must be able to pass a background check. PRINICPAL DANCERS Alamo City Dance Company is looking for principal dancers for our 2024-2025 season. Dancers must have strong classical ballet technique and Pas de Deux skills and be able to perform diverse movements utilizing elements of Ballet, Modern, and Jazz. Strong pointe work is required for female identifying dancers. Dancers must have reliable transportation, be punctual and attend a weekly company class. Must be able to work well with our directors, choreographers, and junior company members in a cooperative and considerate manner. Must be able to pass a background check.
