Concert Program
A celebration like no other, with music to match! “The Waltz King” Johann Strauss Jr.’s celebrated and endearing operetta Die Fledermaus (“The Bat”) boasts one of the most famous and tuneful overtures of its kind. Viva's Principal Oboist Erin Webber joins the orchestra for Mozart's Oboe Concerto, and the season concludes with Respighi’s stunningly beautifully and epically hair-raising tone poem Pines of Rome, a set of four vignettes of the famed Italian city.

J. Strauss:         Overture to Die Fledermaus
Mozart:             Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra in C Major, K. 314
Respighi:           Pines of Rome
