Adam Garza, Principal Second Violin
Adam Garza, a San Antonio native, joined Symphony Viva in 2017. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Performance from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2022 and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Library Science at the University of North Texas.
Adam is a versatile musician with violin studies under Dr. Stephanie Westney and viola studies with Allyson Dawkins and Beth Johnson. In addition to Symphony Viva, he actively performs as a freelance musician in chamber ensembles and has performed with orchestras such as Symphony of the Hills, the Corpus Christi Symphony, Sonido Barroco, and the Orchestra of the Incarnate Word.
He balances musicianship and academia with work for the US Air Force as a Library Technician at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. In his free time, Adam enjoys cycling and exploring the local food scene with his partner, Matt.
