She was instrumental in producing the staged reading of Come and Take It at Graham Regional Theatre in Graham, Texas in 2019. Based on the success of that reading, she is partnering with Alamo City Arts to bring the play to the stage just steps away from the Alamo in 2025.
Anne’s vocation is in business and hospitality. She earned her BA in Humanities from Texas Wesleyan University in 1978 where she has served as a member of the Board of Trustees since 1991. She has produced numerous large-scale musicals for Graham Regional Theatre and First United Methodist Church Fort Worth since the mid 1980’s. She is goal oriented and loves to see a production grow from an idea to a good experience for the audience, performers and crew.
In addition, Anne is a seasoned performer. Some of her favorite roles include Clairee in Steel Magnolias, Golde in Fiddler on the Roof and Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast. She continues to perform in the DFW area in Chordially Yours, a vocal ensemble.
Professionally, Anne co-founded Gramily Entertainment in 1995 with her then husband, Mike Skipper. Gramily won a Tony in 2008 for co-producing the original Broadway production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights.
