Gregory Obregon, principal flute
Gregory Lawrence Obregon has been a member of the Alamo City Symphony Viva wind section since its inception in 2016. As a flutist and piccolo artist, Gregory has held positions with the Symphony of the Hills, Mid-Texas Symphony, Orchestra of the Incarnate Word, the San Antonio Sinfonietta, and
performed at the annual National Flute Assocation Convention. A regular clinician in schools, and a sought-after lesson instructor, Gregory holds a Bachelors of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Texas at San Antonio, having studied under Dr. Rita Linard, Dr. Kristin Hayes and Mrs. Rebecca Murphy. Gregory currently resides in Houston, Texas with his flute playing partner Nicholas, and their little dog, Rubi, and is the Retail Store Manager of Music&Arts in Alvin.
